Reading the Constitution an Arrestable Offense?

Codepink member arrested for reading the Constitution - now that's Freedom!

The pro-occupation group "Vets for Freedom" held a rally at Upper Senate Park
here yesterday. The well-choreographed event resembled a high school football
pep rally as about 200 veterans (of all wars) dressed in beige polo shirts spoke
to about 300 of their hand picked supporters (mostly family), dressed in red
polo shirts. We in pink (with freedom of choice in shirts, boas, and tiaras)
and our friends from SEIU (dressed in their traditional purple tees), were not
allowed into the red audience - but we made our presence felt as we gathered on
the sidelines with banners and enthusiasm. Invited onto the peppy stage of
jingoism were some of the same Congressman who received Codepink's
"Certificates' of Shame" the day before for their misguided and strong support
of the illegal occupation in Iraq. They included John McCain (AZ), Johny
Isakson (GA), John Cornyn (TX), Roy Blunt (MO), and another who they referred to
as their favorite Democrat (SHAME!), Joe Lieberman (CT). Several of the
speakers where reasoning that we were in Iraq to support "freedom" - the "same
freedom," they said, that enabled we Codepinkers to loudly yell out truths from
side lines as these politicians spouted their lies. Ironic that four people
were arrested for expressing these freedoms. Including one Codepink member who
was arrested as she loudly read the constitution. Many of us engaged the
celebrated warmongering Congressmen as they walked off stage and back into their
hired cars. I, for example, had the wonderful opportunity to ask Joe Liberman
several times, and maybe a bit loudly ... "How will we end a war on terror,
Joe? Really, does that make any sense? Isn't that just an endless war Joe?
Find your soul, Joe, so that you can live out the rest of your life a happy
man!" He didn't answer me, but we did have some nice eye contact.

We had spent most of the day before this event on our "Sisters Don't Let Sisters
Vote for War" campaign. We selected 14 female Senators and 8 female House
members to visit and STRONGLY encourage them to sign a letter generated by the
House's Progressive Caucus that they will only support a funding bill for
withdrawal of our troops. We met with staffers or legslative aides in each
office and usually got the same old runaround, but we got some real engagment
too. Joel in Feinstein's office wanted to know "what was code pink's position?"
as 12 of us met around the large conference table in Feinstein's office. (Fund
withdrawal, was our answer!) The press secretary in Hawaii' rep. Mazie Hirono's
office sincerely asked if we felt impeachment was a good idea or if it would be
a distraction from the job of bringing the troops home. (Yes, exposing truth
will help bring the troops home, and it happens to be the House's obligation
under the constitution, is what we taught him!). We visited a couple of
Congress members who have good voting records who had yet to sign the letter.
They were actually happy to get a visit from us after hearing about us for two
plus years and indicated that their bosses would sign the letter soon. Liz,
bless her heart, made sure that when we visited Ohio rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones
office that her staff wish her a happy birthday which she knew she had recently.
(These Codepink ladies really know their details!)

Codepink had about 130 participants representating 37 states this week! Each
time we visited an office, the Codepink constituents from that state were moved
to the front so they could engage with Congressional staff directly. "This is
what Democracy looks like!"

After a long day, several of us went to the Rayburn atrium to sing peace songs
under the direction of the magnificent Betsy Rose, a musician who has been
staying in the house for several days. The accustics were amazing and many
people would stop and pause to listen our messages of peace sung sweetly.

Then it was back to the Codepink house for another crowded but comfy dinner with
fellow friends and peacemakers. Potluck, wine, stories, (another one hour
meeting about today's highlights and tomorrow's actions) and then a wonderful
concert from Betsy Rose. After that, brainstorming ideas for signs for
tomorrows action on Blackwater. Then finally bed.

I know that right now, I'm at the right place, at the right time.

Chris

There's a time and place and decorum for everything. When CP gets all three right at the same time the group will be taken more seriously, right now you're coming off as extremists and it's a huge turn-off.

Nothing like Code Pink proudly admitting they were heckling Gold Star parents, people who lost sons and daughters, sons and daughters who joined to preserve their right to be self-absorbed jerks 24/7.

Only in America do you have the freedom to abuse those who paid more of a price for your freedom than you did.

Those in the red polo shirts were Gold Star Parents, like Cindy Sheehan all suffered the terrible loss of a child.

What's next, a Code Pink potty party on someone's grave?

want to share this cool new anti-war video:

Many of the anti-war protesters - such as myself - ARE veterans. For all that, I don't see this kneejerk "respect the troops" stuff in the other direction. Maybe when you people stop trying to kick Cindy Sheehan while SHE'S down, or stop ripping up the photographs of Carlo's son, we might take YOU more seriously. Do unto others, sweethearts!!!

eileen, you're a veteran the same way Benedict Arnold was aveteran. Nobody hangs out a flag on January 14th to honor him except Code Pink, IVAW and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. And then, it's a Che flag.

Eileen Coles said...

Screw you, anonymous coward. I served my country honorably and proudly - and with my head, not my knees. Dissent is patriotic. If you want to work for a king, go flip burgers.

Hey eillen, you ran a MESSAGE switch. Who ever died running a MESSAGE switch. Bush flew F-102s and over the lifetime of that aircraft 70 ANG and USAF pilots died. None of which was from combat but all of which came from flying a state of the art, supersonic jet interceptor armed with nuclear tipped air to air missiles to keep Soviet bombers from nuking American cities. And before you lie about the Air Guard, they fly the continental air defense missions. In fact on 9/11, the first fighters vectored were DC ANG F-16s. A don't care about disent, you're a traitor not a patriot. And yes, I'll have fries with that Miss.

Hey eileen, see if Camilo Meja can get you Danny Ortega's autograph, or a date with General Humberto.

Eileen Coles said...

Hey anonymous coward number two: I don't need any dates with anyone. I'm very happily married to an ex-Marine. Toodles!

Hey coles, it wasn't running the risk of running your switch that killed anyone, it was the "resistance".

The same "resistance that Gael Murphy endorsered when she went to Beirut and was part of the Beirut Communique.

The same "resistance" whose "acts of despiration" were endorsed by Code Pink at the World Tribunal on Iraq.

The same "resistance" that ANSWER said should have the UNCONDITIONAL support of the anti-war movement.

Are you sure Kurdish terrorists killed him, take a look at "Code Pink Calls Our Soldiers Terrorists" on YouTube and watch Code Pink tell a Canadian reporter with a camera crew in tow that our troops are terrorists.

Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are: a traitor.

Coles, have you ever added that TechSgt's name when you read the names to honor them?

How about those from the Saudi barracks?

How about those from the embassy bombings?

How about those from the USS Cole?

Can you name the terror attack against the US in Saudi less than a year before the barracks attack? Anyone killed there?

And when you did, there was an annoucement that they were killed by terrorits right...

Of course not, because in those "cermonies" they are being used, not honored. To recognize and remember those Americans killed by terrorists that had been going on since the 90s wouldn't advance your agenda.

You folks are grave robbing ghouls, stealing the goodwill and respect given the fallen.

When getting arrested on the capitol Hill steps, the IVAW pukes can manage to put together an almost complete uniform, yet when they hold a memorial, they dress like shitbirds, torn jeans, dew rags, that 60's John Kerry wannabe look.

Eileen Coles said...

Hey coles, it wasn't running the risk of running your switch that killed anyone, it was the "resistance".

You are full of shit. The Kurds blew our guy up because they said that we - the US - weren't doing enough about Hussein's use of chemical weapons on them in Northern Iraq, which is where most of them live. They happened to be RIGHT about that, which is why Operation Provide Comfort happened - but it is shameful that it took an attack on one of our people to call the Bush administration's attention to that sickening practice. Hussein was an asshole, but we were willing to ignore that so long as he was OUR asshole, buying weapons and training from US. Same deal with bin Laden, who was OUR pet CIA-trained asshole for quite a while and nobody seems to remember that, but nobody seems to be able to find him for some strange reason either.

Maybe you should run off now like a good little freeple and present his head on a stick instead of flapping your gums on the intardnets and I'll be impressed then, ok? Tell ya what though - it's never gonna happen, because the first American who actually REALLY tries to bring Cowboy George's little buddy to justice will find out nice and quick JUST EXACTLY WHO THE REAL TRAITORS IN THIS COUNTRY ARE - with a BULLET! If we're such hot shit then why haven't they found him in six years? He is being PROTECTED by the Bush administration, you idiot! The Saudis have this country completely by the BALLS right now. Don't believe me? Check your local gas pump!

YOU are the mindless traitor who has facilitated the government's abandonment of the will of the American people. YOU are the "I was only following orders" traitor who does not question immoral and illegal actions by your government. YOU are the traitor who has forgotten that the USA shares a planet with a lot of other living, breathing and VERY INNOCENT people. YOU ARE THE TRAITOR, and it is YOU AND YOURS who will be brought to justice because there's more of us than there are of you, thank the Gods, and WE WILL TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK from this insane rich-boy oil mafia!

Their lies don't hold any more water than yours do, and you'd better start asking yourself the right questions now, before it's too late and the day comes when you're explaining that you were "only following orders" to the hangman down at the Hague!

I extended my tour of duty a year to honor the memory of my command sponsor, Sergeant Edgar Eggleston, who died on Flight 103. Stuff it.

You folks are grave robbing ghouls, stealing the goodwill and respect given the fallen.

I'm really going to enjoy this.

I'll bet you're one of those sheeple who waves flags, lights candles and sings kumbaya every 9/11. Well when I saw it happen honey, a television wasn't involved. I worked there. Now you can take your 9/11 kumbaya candle and shove it, because on 9/12 you go back to being the same old hateful, selfish, gullible creep you always are, and I know EXACTLY how much you give a shit that I was one of the people who was attacked that day!

You don't get all weepy on 9/11 because you actually care - you do it because it's fashionable, because you got told it was the right thing to do by that stinking liar in the White House! You, and they, have exploited the deaths of those people to propagate lies, hatred, and death! YOU are the ghouls!

Well unlike some mindless, racist zombies I am capable of recognizing that Saddam Hussein and Usama bin Laden are not actually the same person. I was not so frightened by 9/11 that I would swallow the lie that Iraq had anything to do with it. They never found the WMDs, and they deliberately outed Valerie Plame's identity because her husband Joe Wilson wouldn't go along with the lie.

Because of that STINKING LIE, 4800 Americans and 700 thousand innocent Iraqis are now dead. YOU ARE THE GHOULS.

Anonymous said...

Hey Coles, nice try, but don't try and use the deaths of others to hide the fact that Bush has a more hazardous job than you did. Back when you were in, women were not allowed in combat billets. Again, nobody was ever in harms way manning a MESSAGE switch like yours.

And IVAW (the Kerry Kiddies set up by the VVAW pukes running the VFP), Code Pink, UFPJ, ANSWER, VFP NY, they are all all responsible for thee deths of American troops because they encourage it through their endorsement of things like the WTI. You have their blood on your hands.

You're not a patriot, you're a useful idiot for people like Camilo Mejia, Michael Prysner, Medea, Leslie cagan and the Becker Brothers. All hard core commies who would change this country to North Korea or Cuba. Just remember, people who live there try to get there. Nobody here, even your Millionaire Marxist friends want to live there.

Eileen Coles said...

Hey anonymous coward, you sure talk a lot about stuff you don't know anything about - like me, Bush, anti-war groups, and communists. I've already torn you a new one so I guess I'll just let you stand there and finish leaking it out rather than continue to address your koolaid overdose symptoms.

Bush is a lying, cowardly REMF who never saw a DAY of combat duty. And I have a feeling you're not even that - you're just a tough talking chickenhawk military wannabe who never even saw as much as a drill pad in your life. You whine about facing danger just like any of them would, and ya know what? You sound more JEALOUS of my military service than anything else. So let's talk about YOU, useless troll! Do let's talk about YOU - I like the silence there, it's bound to shut you up because there's nothing to say! When's the last time YOU went out to die for oil, sucker? Enquiring minds want to know!

Eileen Coles said...

Hey moron,

I owe you no explanations. I served during the COLLAPSE of the Cold War, you hopeless fruitcake. Get back on your meds or whatever, mmmmkay? I'm not a traitor, not a communist, and definitely not someone who gives a flying sideways scooch whether you think so. Get a life.

Reagan brought down the Soviet Union and you're taking credit? Especially NOW that you'r ehanging with a group run by the author of "CUBA: Talking About Revolution"? That's sick, you're one sick puppy.

Right. "Reagan" did it. All by himself. People like me who worked for him didn't.

What part of GET A LIFE do you not understand? What are you, a stalker, or just stupid? I'm thinking a little bit of both. Maybe I should have this website give me information about what IP address you're posting from, anonymous coward. You know nothing about me, and you ARE nothing yourself.

Wakeup, its time for a new American revolution, to restore what our founding fathers tried to make. our country has been hijacked by globalists, we need to hold jury based, revolutionary trials for these monsters. then hang the ones we find guilty, and seize all of there families assets. death to the globalists and all of there allies.

As much as I may not agree with most of what Code Pink has to offer in agenda, this treatment they got for doing the same thing I did against the Million Mom March is frightening. The First Amendment is there to protect unpopular speech. The so-called "right" acting the way it has since 2000 - and getting worse each year - now gives us all the choice between blue state socialism or red state fascism. Either way, people who think and don't tow a party line (like Ron Paul supporters) can look forward to a concentration camp regardless of which republican or democrat wins.
Now is the time for ALL people who care about liberty to get a rifle and learn how to use it.

I am always amazed by people who say “we are fighting (killing people) for your freedom” and if you actually use your freedom they get mad at you. You can’t have it both ways, either you are fighting for our freedoms or you hate our freedoms; pick one. I guess you already have picked one, you hate freedom and any who exercises it.

I think the real problem is that you don’t know the definition of freedom. One day “anonymous” will be reading the dictionary and will stumble across the word “freedom”; there will be a bit of an epiphany moment and then shame will ensue.

Remember people, Neo-Cons hate us for our freedoms. Ron Paul 2008

this is the state we are living in and it is dangerous. Keep standing up for what you believe in babes, dont let getting arrested stop you, fight for our freedom, rid this country of the tyrrany it now portrays, those police should be jailed, for breaking the very same oath they swore to uphold. They are mere puppets in a puppet masters show.

That anonymous guy must be a CIA operative. What a total jerk. The war on terror is a fabrication. 911 was an inside job by the military-industrial complex, masterminded probably by Henry Kissinger. There are many good military people who disagree with the Bush administration. Eileen is a real patriot.

keep up the good work, i only regret I wasn't there. I'm planning on memorizing all the amendments so when I go to protest.

9/11 was an inside job

Anonymous said...

Wow..arrested for protesting and reading the constitution! Our great Republic is sinking like the Titanic.
How are the troops fighting for our freedoms? First off the war is called operation Iraqi Freedom....
Not Operation U.S. Freedom.
There were no WMD's & Iraq had nothing to with 9/11. Another one of the reasons people say the U.S.
went to Iraq was for the oil, not true. Well in way it is, they wanted to control & cap off the oil production, hence the really high gas prices.
The U.S. is being used as the engine to establish a one world order aka global governance.
All over the world, police cameras are going up everywhere. Verichip is implanting microchips in humans. The dollar is being de-valued. The North American Union is killing U.S., Canada & Mexico's souvreignty. Check SPP.gov
I mean there are so many bad things happening in the U.S. and so many of our freedoms are being lost, it's pretty much an Oxymoron saying the troops are fighting for our freedoms. For crying out loud the 9/11 boogie man "Bin Laden' is not even wanted for his so called connection to 9/11. Check out FBI.Gov and see for yourself.

It's time to wake up & face the facts. Humanity is in deep shit.

I fully support your actions Code Pink.. If only more Americans would wake up, turn off the surreality television and see what is really going on!
Living outside of the states and having traveled there many times i have seen what is going on down there and each and every one of you are under the boots of tyrants! Your leaders are performing treasonous acts under the guise of protecting your freedoms! Starting an illegal war without the support of Congress is Treason! Arresting your own citizens for seeking the support of the constitution is Treason!
Why were those cops all silent in the video of the arrests? They are all shamed because they are sinning against God with their actions, they know it, and there is a special place for them in hell.

So I guess this is how we know liberty is dead, where we have to guard our speech and what we say like we're living in Stalin's Russia, or Mao's China.

The phony patriots are busy cheering as our country has been destroyed. If only the politicians had to send their kids to Iraq, this war would be over, or have never started in the first place.

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act" George Orwell

Without Freedom of Thought, there can be no such thing as Wisdom; and no such thing as public Liberty, without Freedom of Speech.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, The New England Courant, Jul. 9, 1722

Little strokes fell great oaks.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, Poor Richard's Almanac, Aug. 1750

Benjamin Franklin once observed:

"They that would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

"Fear is the most debilitating of all human emotions. A fearful person will do anything, say anything, accept anything, reject anything, if it makes him feel more secure for his own, his family's or his country's security and safety, whether it actually accomplishes it or not.

"It works like a charm. A fearful people are the easiest to govern. Their freedom and liberty can be taken away, and they can be convinced to believe that it was done for their own good - to give them security. They can be convinced to give up their liberty - voluntarily.

"Recently, the passage of the USA Patriot Act and the Homeland Security Act have resulted in the most direct attacks on the Bill of Rights that I have seen in my lifetime. These acts were passed without any meaningful opposition and still have considerable public support.

"The USA Patriots Act is an acronym for "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism."

"The way that government is going to be provided with these "appropriate tools" is to "temporarily" suspend or eliminate as much of our Constitution and its Bill of Rights as it can, without court oversight or intervention, so that we will not be at a disadvantage in the war against terrorism. That's the idea.

"Think about that for a minute, and then ask yourself: Why in the world would we voluntarily do to ourselves that which our enemies over the last 200-plus years have not been able to do to us by force? Why would we be so willing to give up our God-given rights that have been verbalized in our Constitution, when we have fought so hard to preserve them?

"It almost boggles the mind, when one considers what fear for one's safety and security can accomplish. These bipartisan, virtually unopposed, legislative, governmental actions are saying to us, 'If you temporarily give up some of your liberty and freedom now, you will be made more secure in the future.'

"That, my friends, is a terrible lie."

Hey, could you guys fix this webpage? On the main page of http://codepinkdc.blogspot.com/2007/09/reading-constitution-arrestable-offense.html it cuts the right side of the text off by about two or three words unless I lower the font to almost un-readable levels. I am using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7.

Can you people get over your obsession with making this a freakin fascist dictatorship AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE?!

And here's some quotes for y'all wingnuts, at least TRY to educate yourselves and stop being nationalistic kookamyers, ok?!

Here ya go:

"Strike me down and you will only make me more powerful!"
--Obi-Wan

"....if by a liberal they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people--their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, their civil liberties...if that is what they mean by a "liberal" then I am proud to be a liberal. " -- John F. Kennedy

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." -- Sinclair Lewis

The 11th Article of the Treaty of Tripoli, signed by George Washington in 1796, and later signed by President John Adams (a CONSERVATIVE, no less!) on June 10, 1797 after ratification by the U.S. Senate on June 7, 1797, states emphatically and in no UNcertain terms:

"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims, and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Muslim nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

- Harry Truman

-Franklin D. Roosevelt, radio address, Oct. 26, 1939

"The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself!"

In other words, cons, y'all can take the damn "Patriot" Act, and SHOVE IT!

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

Eilleen, you know you're right... don't waste your time with losers that don't even have the balls to give their name..."anonymous" is for cowards and trolls. Unfortunately, there are still people out there who believe that spreading death in the name of profit is somehow more righteous than standing up for the inalienable rights of the individual. They speak of fascism in the middle east, when they can't even smell the fascism right under their noses. They're more than willing to sell us all out in the name of fighting "terrorism", when they have NO IDEA the death and misery our government has wreaked on the people of the world for the last half century. They actually believe that it was Reagan who dissolved Soviet Russia singlehandedly, when history tells us that it was the bankers who folded the country up for him. These kinds of people are never wrong, any dissent is viewed as somehow unpatriotic - we should all worship at the temple of the AWOL air reservist cheerleader skull and bones minion. F**k that, and F**k this criminal government we pay for. Keep up the good work, America needs more people like you who are willing not only to serve their country with honor, but also to face great adversity in DEFENDING the things which made this country great to begin with.

Don't the laptop bombardiers have anything better to do than play apologist for the Police State and harass people who do more than heckle Code Pink anonymously?

Most of the time the Keyboard Warriors out there are too busy blogging about how awesome and kewl Fred Thompson to bother busying themselves with things that involve going outside or giving money.

If being a Chickhawk and anonymously ribbing people translated into money and votes, the War Party would be close to Absolute Monarchy instead of just an ordinary Police State.

The establishment has crossed the Rubicon, and history will show as much, and hopefully they will still have archives of the stupid things that all of the warmongering cheerleaders in the current blogosphere have said about those that are trying to stop it.

The Romans didn't wake up one day and say "Hey, we're in the Dark Ages!". Americans won't either, they don't understand what it means to boil the frog.

Here's the acid test to all those "Anonymous" folk out there who shill for the war under whatever pretense they think will pull the heartstrings of the reader...

Go enlist in the Army, volunteer for front-line combat duty, and stop blogging. Maybe you can get internet access from the front... maybe not.

But either way, you'll STFU and actually put YOUR ass on the line instead of someone else's.

No takers? Why am I not surprised?

This little test has been repeated ad nauseam with every group that "supports the troops," and *always* with the same result... stammering excuses on why THEY aren't over there.

I'm former Marine infantry, OIF I combat vet, and present-day Texas Army National guard infantry soldier. In Eileen's defense, it does not matter what her MOS/job was in the military, or whether she's a combat vet or not. What matters, and what we should look at, is her unwavering desire of honoring her oath to protect and preserve our constitution. Undeniably, our current administration has done more damage to our constitution than any administration in our nation's history. A quote from Thomas Paine: "It is the duty of the patriot to protect their country from its government." Thank you, Eileen Coles, for having the courage to stand up for our freedom. Benjamin Franklin once said, "Make yourselves sheep and the wolves will eat you." Don't let cowards, sheep, and fools affect your spirit. Let them be sheep if they cannot open their eyes and ears. You don't need to waste your precious time with them. And remember, you're not alone! You're voice is speaking for hundreds of thousands. Remember what American Anthropologist Margaret Mead said, "Never doubt that a small group of committed, thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

When will these conservative sheep wake up? When they themselves get carted into trains to go to "food camps"??

"There's a time and place and decorum for everything. When CP gets all three right at the same time the group will be taken more seriously, right now you're coming off as extremists and it's a huge turn-off."

Reading the constitution in a concentration camp is not really going to do much good now, is it?

I believe that the time has come when we must realize that the fight is not between democrat or repulican, conservative or liberal, black or white, christian or muslim or any of the other points of conflict; the fight is between the American people, and an illegal regime in Washington, a criminal conspiracy that hijacked America in 2000, who continues to destroy life and liberty in the name of "freedom". Watch some video footage of the Nazi SS at work in German in the '40s. There is no difference between then and what the Bush Regime is attempting to do, and and what they have done already. I, too, salute Eileen!

Fellow Americans!! It is time to take back this country, by force if necessary! Our founders would be doing it right now if they were here today!

I don't wish to have to die for my freedom and the freedom of those who come after me, but it is better to live and die free, than to live and die under the yoke of tyranny!! RISE UP AND OVERTHROW THESE CRIMINALS!!!

Do we need to follow the rules of decorum in order to overthrow those who care nothing about any of them? anonymous...you probably would have suggested politeness and proper dress for those on their way to the ovens in Auschwitz! You will probably believe that you are "free" even as you are being led away and locked up!

Your all idiots. This war, whatever you think about has nothing to do with patriotism or insurrection. People are dying every day. People on both sides, meanwhile egomaniacal americans blog anonymously about who is traitor and who is patriot. Any person serving served, if you did not you should keep your mouth shut. I am far more terrified of blind blood thristy americans like Anonymous who obviously cannot see the consequences of this endless war. There is no objective, there is no enemy force, how can this war ever end? That is the question. And the answer is that it wont, it cant. When people question why we are at war it is not a shot at the soldiers who have no say in what they do. It is a shot at Bush who regardless of what you want to say about his time in the coast guard will never suffer from this war. Will never sacrifice, doesnt know the meaning of the word. He is a coward, and a fool. Along with his VP, A.G. Karl Rove and the rest of the monsters. Everyone loses because of insane super conservative blood thirsty war mongers like Anonymous. So in conclusion Neo Cons and George Bush all suck.

Remember Prohibition? Al Capone? Babyface Nelson? Bonny and Clyde? The St. Valentine's Massacre in Chicago? The list is too long to include here; it would give me writer's cramp!

And saying that anyone who has a different opinion than yours needs to be executed puts you at the top of the list of EVIL MURDEROUS SOB'S! Hitler would have loved you, right along with Himmler, Georing and Goebles! You were just born too late to be a Brownshirt!

A true patriot supports the war on terror???? Bush and his regime have done everything they can get away with which, unfortunately, has been a considerable amount of illegal, unconstitutional crap, due to a congress that won't excercise their legal duty to stop them and prosecute them!
A true patriot wants to restore your rights, too! Your rights are gone! Read the (very inappropriately named) US Patriot Act. ( a side note: if you have ever read what the acronym stands for, it sounds like some kind of contrived, dumbass juvenile group, like the Heman Woman Haters Club. enough of battling with dimwits that will give their lives to those that unslave them...Some people will always love their oppressor.
I have been aware of the fact for quite a while that all that is necessary for the oppressor to win is that they remove your rights and freedoms bit by bit. Like the example of boiling the frog. Good analogy. If it was all done at once, we would revolt!! Which is exactly what I believe is going to happen very soon in this country. Anyone who supports this illegal regime is my sworn enemy, and an enemy of the Constitution and of the people of the United States of America.

On a lighter note...

I propose a new Federal Tax Code.

I believe that we should be allowed ala carte' taxation. There should be a list, with the appropriate check-box next to it, for every government ageny. (Department of defense, CIA, NSA, ..etc)
There should be a note stating what percentage of income is involved by checking each box. If I don't like what a particular arm of the Federal Government is doing with my money, I won't check the box.

Also... why do we have to have taxes deducted in advance? Why are we paying in advance for a service we have not yet received? Why is money withheld from our paychecks? I certainly don't get paid in advance for work I have yet to comlete. Hmmmm...think about it.
If the majority of Americans are satisfied with an agency, they will get the funding that they need. Screw this idea of giving them a blank check.

This only further supports what I said. Ronald Reagan never tried to take credit for it, but since he was there to say "Mr. Gorbachav tear down this wall", many conservatives and neo-cons have latched onto the fairy tale of "the man who brought down the soviet republic", which is simply not true.
The only legacy I see left behind by Reagan is the image of the corporate raider as an American hero - Reagan unleashed the corporate dogs of wall street on America, and they're still pissing on every fence post and fire hydrant from sea to shining sea. Thanks, Gip.

You people sicken me! You should support the troops! They are risking their lives every day to protect YOUR freedoms.. including the freedom to get arrested for reading the Constitution! You absolutely DO have free speech but you must have permission from government to speak first. Otherwise, everyone would be speaking whenever they wanted and writing whatever they wanted.. imagine the chaos!

Did you know that the Democrats in Congress have done more to support the troops than the GOP has ever thought of doing? The GOP wants to break our military and turn it over to psycho-groups like Blackwater and such. I'm fed-up with the neo-cons and their screwed up agenda. Go Code Pink!

You know I was at the rally in DC on the 22nd of Sept. I saw all the Code Pinkers get arrested, yet I didn't hear anyone reading the Constitution on the side, maybe it was because of all the crap spewing from the mouths of the pinkers? Or maybe it was the pinker that decide to physically assualt a woman standing in the crowd as he ran to the front of the stage yelling like a little kid. Or it might be the pinker that got in the middle of the families and was yelling like a little kid. It amazes me that a bunch of crazy people as the pinkers think they are actually doing good by yelling and screaming around DC and all they are really doing making the Congressmen and women think they are a bunch of morons! Hopefully one day all of you will wake up from your dream worlds and realize that you are nothing but a bunch of crazy asses who if it wasn't for the soliders that died for this country, you would have been hung from your necks like in Iraq.

I support the Code Pink crew.

There are way too many irrational people in our country with power in their hands, and clouds of zombies yelling the approved slogans swarming any dissenters. If they scream and rant loud enough, they seem to believe, then no one will be able to hear the truth that our nation has been hijacked by men and women with visions of apocalyptic glory leading them to hell, and us with them.

Keep up the good work, women. I got your back in Milwaukee.
