On monday September 17th, as they were preparing for their Halls of Shame tour in front of the Rayburn House Office Building, CODEPINK was rudely interrupted by the Capitol Police.

It's about time the Capitol Police started doing their jobs. The antics of Code Pink actually threaten the First Amendment. Code Pink is in NO POSITION to say THEY WERE RUDELY INTERRUPTED. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF RUDE FREAKS THEMSELVES!!!

I LOVE THE VIDEO OF MEDEA ASKING THE POLICE TO REPEAT HIS INSTRUCTIONS BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND! WHAT PART OF YOU ARE A BUNCH OF UNWANTED FREAKS DID YOU FAIL TO COMPREHEND!

Isn't funny how Code Pink loves to disrupt others and try to prevent others from speaking, but expects people to feel sorry for it when it can't have its little Animal fest where it wants!

THAT CAPITOL POLICEMAN WAS TOTALLY COOL AND TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL.. WHAT A GREAT EXAMPLE...

It will get worse. High level Democrats in the Party are trying at this moment to insure you losers can't disrupt the upcoming Democratic Convention.... They are afraid of another 1968 convention and are at this moment plotting against you....

Wow! This is great. CP must really be touching a nerve with all of these people to warrant such vehemence in the comments. CP is doing what the founders of our country and the framers of out Constitution wanted to have happen. Challenging the policies of a corrupt government and making sure each of us is heard is truly patriotic.

Even the Dems. think you are losers.

I got you posting!!! Why should you care about old ineffective Code Pink enough to comment?

Nobody really cares about Code Pink. Believe me, you don't even have that many friends in the Democratic Congress you elected.

Is it really any wonder that your antics are straight out of the elementary school? I mean, after all, what rational people would join a group in which its leader embraces Hugo Chavez?

Your friends in International ANSWER and United for Peace and Justice are communists, socialists and almost totally anti-Israel. Anyone, other than an aging hippie or a dumb college student can see the hypocrisy in your group and your efforts.

No, I would say that your group is entertaining, but ineffectual. We are in Iraq until 2009. Your Democratic friends have turned on you. You are becoming less and less welcome at the Congress. The Democrats will distance themselves from you further. And, you will see that if Hilary Clinton is elected, the war will not end for some time.

You are so great at making my point exactly, ANONYMOUS! Why do you continue posting if "nobody" cares?

Because I want to show love to even the most ugly amongst us!

Pinky:

I happen to agree with some of the earlier postings. Code Pink represents a general lack of civility in the discourse. Of course your little group will say that desperate times lead to desperate measures, but by that logic, anyone who is poor should be able to rob a bank.

I happen to agree that your group has not accomplished anything other than to lower the discourse. We have more troops in Iraq now than ever. It is clear that we will be there until at least 2009 and I expect we will be there afterwards.

Your group constantly asks for impeachment and that is not realistic. Quite simply, it is not going to happen. It would be politically disastrous to impeach a wartime president. So, it is just an idiotic and unrealistic slogan.

Secondly, there is nothing to show that President George W. Bush or anyone else intentionally misled the American public.

President George W. Bush may not have had great intelligence in the run up to the war, but that does not mean we should toss up our hands and give up at the expense of the Iraqi people and the stability of the region.

I agree that there is much hypocrisy in the antiwar crowd. Even you have to admit that your leadership going to Venezuela and hugging Hugo Chavez has got to be contrary to the values you claim to espouse. Certainly, it does not appear that you hold dictators such as Chavez to the same standard you would hold others to.

I have been to some of the protests and seen the anti-Semitic materials on display and the communist literature and imagery. These are people that do not reflect my values.

My family came her to escape the brutality of communism which has been responsible for the deaths of roughly 40 million or so people and the oppression of many others. Yet, your group embraces and allies itself with people who espouse this failed ideology.

You say you support the troops, but as a percentage your support among them is few. Look into the backgrounds of the ones who affiliate with the protests and you will see that some were less than honorably discharged and have an ax to grind. One got in trouble for trying to import a firearm that your members might be disturbed by if their neighbors had such a weapon.

By the way, I forgot to mention that Code Pink is a threat to rights here at home. By interrupting private and public discourse, you make it more difficult for openness in government. You actually cause government to become less open. I think the fact that you have to interrupt private and public hearings is telling of your lack of success. You think it is a positive strategy because that is the only way you can get on the news or get your point across and that is because on your own you cannot get the attention of the public. So, you think 3 seconds of exposure on C SPAN is a big triumph. A little piece of news for you, most people are appalled and turned off by these tactics.

All you do is preach to the choir kids! Your persuading no one except yourselves. That is why your efforts are a waste of time and energy.

Great to see so many Codepinkers there! Wish I could have been there, but I am back in the classroom teaching peace and global understanding!

I would advise you all to take a civics class, perhaps a 5th grade American Government course. I admire and respect all academics and those who preach, write, and live global justice and peace. We all need to strive for that balance in our very very volatile world.

CodePink - you are ALL ignorant. And education does not preclude you from BEING ignorant. If you really did, as you insist understand and know peace and justice you would then also know how to procure change, rather than turning the entirely of this City and much of the nation against your moronic childish stunts.

I wish nothing but ill will on your backwards cause - go home. Rather go to Iran, or Darfur or UAB and try to preach your stupid "ideas" there.
